One verity the past few years is that Democrats and their progressive allies are attacking the Supreme Court in order to question their credibility in the public's eye. The sudden concern about Supreme Court ethics is not being done in a vacuum?
Does the Supreme Court need justice ethics? It certainly should be looked at, considered and probably implemented and any reasonable person can agree to that. Same should be said for Congress including banning stock trading in Congress and banning members from ever becoming lobbyists.
But Democrats are taking it a step further with their racist attacks on Clarence Thomas under the guise of ethics. They focus on Justice Thomas but ignore liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor sweet heart book deal.
The other day, Sen. Dick Durbin tweeted that "Chief Justice Robert could adopt a binding code of conduct if he wanted to. But, he refuses. Senate Judiciary Democrats will continue to act on Supreme Court ethics reform."
Of course, we know from TheHill.com that Sen. Dick Durbin has declined to call on Sen. Bob "Gold Bar" Menedez (D-NJ) to resign after he was indicted on federal corruption charges.
You can read more here about Sen. Menedez accused of corruption. PLease note for those not up on history, this isn't Menendez first time with corruption charges.
Is it too much for know-it-alls like Sen. Durbin to be consistent in their moral indignation? Let's be blunt, he only cares about perceived corruption and accusation if "conservative" is attached to the accused individual.
