Politicized Courts Are Making a Mockery of our Justice System

If Donald Trump is arrested this week, it will mark a new low in the fall of the U.S. court system. A legal system that was once the envy of the world, that consistently delivered fair, impartial outcomes has deteriorated to the point there is little discernible difference between it and the systems that have long been used to prop up illegitimate third world dictatorships. The rot is pervasive. It’s also one-sided. Conservative judges and prosecutors aren’t engaging in lawfare against the left. But leftist judges and prosecutors, with the eager assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice, FBI and national intelligence agencies are aggressively and consistently perverting the law to persecute their political opponents.
The events of January 6th and Trump’s claim of losing the election to fraud have and continue to generate all the headlines, but it’s possible to attribute his loss to something equally illegal, even plain evil, and which no longer requires any speculation to confirm: the collaboration of Big Tech, Big Media, U.S. Intel and a host of leftist prosecutors and judges in a concerted effort to undermine and oust the sitting President of the United States. That this happened is no longer, thanks to Elon Musk, even remotely questionable. The Twitter Files have demonstrated, beyond any reasonable doubt, that these institutions first collaborated on a three-year effort to smear Trump with what they knew were entirely fabricated accusations of Russian collusion. Then, when that failed, they worked together to suppress real evidence that Joe Biden has been engaged in years of influence peddling, including while he was serving in the Senate and as Vice President.
Leftist prosecutors and courts eagerly ate up this narrative, and jumped in with their own spurious allegations. Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan DA currently threatening Trump with arrest, campaigned for office specifically on putting Trump in cuffs. Now he’s dead-set on making that happen, law be damned. Never mind that under his watch, violent crime is up, arrests are down, and New Yorkers are afraid to ride the subway. People are literally dying because Bragg and other George Soros-funded prosecutors and politicians refuse to enforce laws against violent offenders. Instead, Bragg is threatening to arrest Trump for a theoretical campaign finance violation that, first, is a matter for federal courts, not the Manhattan DA and, second, has already been ruled-on by the Federal Elections Commission, which found no violation. Yet even though the agency responsible for overseeing the law Bragg claims Trump violated has already ruled there was no violation of the law, Bragg is pushing his case forward. Why? One reason is Bragg can be reasonably sure that, law be damned, he can pick out a leftist judge who will sign off on the arrest warrant and turn their bench into a Kangaroo Court in pursuit of furthering their political ideology.
There’s no shortage of these (dis)Honorable Democrats staffing courts today. The Federalist did a great piece on this, you can read the whole article via the link below, but the first two paragraphs do a great job of explaining the issue in terms most Americans will understand:
“Imagine a football game in which the referee suddenly picks up the football, runs it into the Red Team’s end zone, and declares a touchdown for the Blue Team. When the Red Team protests, he just replies, “The NFL Rule Book says, ‘The referee is to see that the ball is properly put in play and shall decide on all matters pertaining to its position and disposition at end of down’ (Rule 15.2.3.).
If the Red Team answers, “The referee carrying the ball down the field and scoring a touchdown is not what ‘decide on’ meant when that rule was written,” the referee will just reply, “Well, I’m saying that’s what it means today. The Blue Team’s touchdown stands.” The referee has suddenly created a new rule by giving the words a new meaning they never had before.”
Leftist judges don’t view upholding the law as a sacred oath, they believe that laws only exist to further their ideology and power, and any law that doesn’t comport with that goal is ipso facto unlawful and in need of revision. Conservative judges don’t play this game, but how has our “let’s not stoop to their level” ethos done lately? The answer is obviously, ‘not well’. Leftist lawfare is ascendant and ever-expanding. Continuing to stand down in the face of a politicized leftist judicial system is not an option, because the abuses we’ve seen to date will pale in comparison to what will come.
