Democrats Forget the Military is Under Civilian Control
The Dismissal of Gen. C.Q. Brown as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
By Chuck Warren
It is a new day, and Trump Derangement Syndrome takes no rest.
President Trump fired Gen. Charles "CQ" Brown, Jr., the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the Navy's top admiral. This predictably brought scorn, alarm and downright hysteria by Democrats and their media propaganda machine. You know, the same people who complain about the national debt, but do not think budget cuts are necessary to eliminate the fiscal hole.
ABC News mentioned that "Trump as president has the authority to remove generals and senior officers from their positions and reassign them ..."
So, let us ask the vital question: what are the responsibilities of the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff?
Simple: he/she is the "principal military advisor to the president, the secretary of defense and the National Security Council." Hmmm, he/she is an advisor.
A Google AI overview of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's responsibilities states that they provide:
Military advice
The JCS advises on military policy, planning, and training. They also prepare and review contingency plans.
Force capabilities
The JCS advises on the strengths and deficiencies of the military's force capabilities.Combatant command preparedness
The JCS assesses the readiness of combatant commands to carry out their missions.Budget and program recommendations
The JCS advises on the budget and program recommendations of the military departments.Structure
The JCS is made up of the heads of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. The chairman of the JCS is the highest-ranking military officer in the U.S. A vice chairman assists the chairman.
Authority
The JCS does not have executive authority to command combatant forces. "
So, with a third-grade reading comprehension, one realizes that they (1) serve an advisory role and (2) have no 'executive authority to command combatant forces.'
I do not know why Pres. Trump dismissed these officers (neither do you), but all presidents (e.g., Obama, Biden, etc.) deserve to have whomever they choose as their military advisors. And in an un-Trump-like manner, he praised them and thanked them for their service.

This is not a Constitutional crisis.
For those wringing their hands and finding confirmation for their hysteria on BlueSky and MSNBC, can anyone tell me if the military is better prepared today than it was in 2023?
The decision is the right of the Commander in Chief. The same right former President Obama had when it was reported in October 2013, he "fired 197 officers" for a "laundry list of reasons and sometimes not reason given at all.”
When it comes to Trump, Democrats and their media cronies seem unable to take a deep breath and sleep on it, before they come up with their daily Trump “threat to the Constitution” they dream up in their ill-informed, dissension minded brains.
This weekend, with the Trump Derangement Syndrome fever clouding their minds, as Bonchie from Red State wrote, “Democrats are now claiming the”military” should be an independent entity. There are no limits to the stuff they’ll embrace to spite the orange man.”
Remember, as Dr. Pradheep Shanker, MD, wrote, “these are the same people a few months ago who argued former President Biden could unilaterally decide to add an amendment to the freaking Constitution now upset that Trump, as Commander in Chief, is deciding which generals are in charge.”
Even the sitcom “Veep” could not make this up.
Note: the opinions expressed herein are those of Chuck Warren only and not his co-host Sam Stone or Breaking Battlegrounds’ staff.
I have followed CQ Brown since the George Floyd debacle and it was very obvious, CQ was just another DEI hire and all the things he talked about smacked of racism not readiness in our forces.
Just left in the media, showing us how hypocritical they can be! No wonder nobody believes anything they say anymore!
