Dear Iran Apologists - Senior Officials In Iran Say They Want Us Destroyed.

We Should Believe Them.

In 1979, the Islamic Revolution in Iran overthrew the Shah. One of the slogans of the revolution and the new regime was “Death to America.” Just to make sure that we don’t forget, they have repeated it every day. It’s impossible to keep track of every nasty thing they have said about our country because they say it daily, but here’s a selected list of their official public statements and documents about America.

The founder of the Islamic Republic and its first supreme leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini:

America is the great Satan.

Since he said this in 1979, it has become an official slogan of the regime, and people must repeat it to be allowed to work in the regime.

IRGC commander, Mohammad-Reza Naqdi:

The White House is the headquarters of the Islamic State.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei:

America and Britain… are the creators of the Islamic State and al-Qaeda

Khamenei again:

That US arms a terrorist group is what causes instability. Who created #ISIS? The US!

Khamenei:

Battle and jihad are endless because evil and its front continue to exist. ... This battle will only end when the society can get rid of the oppressors' front with America at the head of it, which has expanded its claws on human mind, body and thought.

Naqdi:

Our ideal is not centrifuges but the destruction of the White House and the annihilation of Zionism

Khamenei’s representative in the IRGC, Ali Shirazi:

We will stand fast against the world of arrogance. We will not rest until we have raised the banner of Islam over the White House.

Commander of the IRGC, Hossein Salami, killed by Israel last week:

We have shown patience towards the hostile moves of America, the Zionist regime, and Saudi Arabia against the Islamic Republic of Iran… But we will destroy them if they cross our red lines.

IRGC’s aerospace chief of staff:

God willing, we are looking to kill Trump, Pompeo. And military commanders who issued the order [to kill Qassem Soleimani] should be killed.

Khamenei:

England, France, and finally America—which is the Great Satan—spread their hegemony over the Islamic Ummah. They humiliated the Islamic Ummah as much as they could. They planted the cancerous tumor of Zionism at the heart of the strategic Middle East region, and they strengthened it in every way.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s minister of foreign affairs:

We have problems with USA over dozens of issues…Nothing has changed. USA is still the Great Satan in our view.

Khamenei:

The U.S.—the U.S. government, the political regime of the U.S.—is obviously a devious and malicious phenomenon. As [Khomeini] pointed out, it is the Great Satan. It is really the Great Satan.

Khamenei:

Who is the enemy? The enemy is American capitalism and global arrogance which is headed today by America and the Zionists.

Then-president, Hassan Rouhani, the alleged good-guy Obama signed a deal with:

America... is our enemy, we have no doubt about this. The Americans want to put as much pressure on us as they can.

Khamenei:

America is the number one enemy of our nation.

Then-president Ebrahim Raisi on Trump and killing Soleimani:

They will witness severe revenge. What has come so far has only been glimpses… Do not presume that someone, as the president of America, who appeared as a murderer or ordered a murder, may be immune from justice being carried out. Never! Those who had a role in this assassination [of Qassem Soleimani] and crime will not be safe on Earth.

Salami:

The country that has the Statue of Liberty does the most work of oppressing, suppressing and hanging of the freedom-seekers in the world and produces most of torture devices in the world and sends them to all dictators around the world and teaches torture techniques to them in order to imprison the seekers of truth, justice and freedom.

Raisi:

If Trump and (former Secretary of State Mike) Pompeo are not tried in a fair court for the criminal act of assassinating General Soleimani, Muslims will take our martyr's revenge…The aggressor, murderer and main culprit – the then-president of the United States – must be tried and judged under the (Islamic) law of retribution, and God's ruling must be carried out against him," Raisi added

Khamenei:

Today, you are hated throughout the world. If you don't know this, you should. The peoples burn your flag. The Islamic peoples all over the world chant: 'Death to America!

Rouhani (Democrats’ good Iranian):

Saying 'Death to America' is easy. We need to express 'Death to America' with action.

Khamenei:

All of you will see the destruction of America.

Khamenei:

Our enmity toward America will continue even if we reach a nuclear agreement [with Donal Trump].

They hate us. They want to destroy us. Believe their words.
